The open-air upper does not have mesh inserts and the ports are very large. Mud, little pebbles easily get into the shoe and under your foot. Soles are solid on river rocks. If you intend to be in muddy areas, not the best choice.

I didn't really want to get Uggs. I have been fighting them for years. I thought they were ugly. Now I have a broken toe and they were the only boot I could get on comfortably. And I just love them! The black classic tall boot goes with everything (except for dress wear, of course). You can wear them cuffed or uncuffed. They're warm. They look adorable with jeans or a skirt and I couldn't be happier. I never thought I could love a boot without a 3" heel. I was wrong
